Come behind the scenes for a very special class and introduction to dance with Camille and her company. This special event for children will let them see the dance company in rehearsal, followed by an exclusive dance class led by Ms. Brown, topped off with a fun photo shoot with Camille and her company members.

Dancer, choreographer and founder of her own eponymous dance company, Camille A. Brown is also guided by the desire to give back to her community by spreading the joy of dance to people of all ages and backgrounds. An exciting new force on the modern dance scene, Ms. Brown has choreographed numerous works for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Philadanco, Urban Bush Women, Ballet Memphis and Hubbard Street II, to name just a few. Her own dance company performs at NYC’s renowned Joyce Theater, and has been featured at many national and international dance venues, such as Jacob’s Pillow, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Central Park’s Summerstage, and the Juilliard Theater. The company has received rave reviews from the press, with the New York Times calling its work “magisterial...a tour de force.”

For this experience with 1000passions, Ms. Brown invites your children to watch a working rehearsal of the company and to see a choreography in progress. She’ll also lead the group in an exclusive class where they will explore their own potential for movement and creative expression. No previous dance experience is necessary, and children of all levels and ages are welcome!
